Twenty Four Twenty, 2018

Twenty Four Twenty, looks at the artist’s studio as a conflicted space – one that functions as both emotional sanctuary and unintended fortress. Initially, Briner’s struggle with depression drew him into the studio and gallery space at 24-20 Jackson Avenue as an escape from the outside world. It became his canvas – its core components and architecture a place for introspection. This project was presented as Briner’s MFA Thesis exhibition in 2018.
